Maw-Maw's Peach Cobbler

Melt 1/4 pound of butter in a casserole dish. In another bowl, mix together:

     1 cup flour

     1 cup sugar

     3/4 cup milk

     1 tsp. baking powder

Pour mixture over butter. In the center of the batter, pour a can of peaches (juice also). Place in a pre-heated over at 350 degrees and cook until cobbler begins to bubble. Increase temperature to 400 degrees and cook until top crust is well-browned.

Oven temperature: 350 degrees

Cooking time: approximately 1 hour

Serves: 4 to 8
