Sunday Afternoon in a cow pasture

From left to right: Joe, Burl, Joy, & two cows in the background

So sad! Isn't it tragic when a darling photograph has deteriorated over the years? Like this one. Somehow the boys lost their ankles and their shoes, but mom is still standing on solid ground, isn't she? ha!

Look at Mom's face. Maybe other people won't see the similarity but it's pretty striking to me how much Kimberly looks like her grandmother. Do you see the resemblance? I sure do!

Last night, I was watching Netflix on my iPad and messing around on Photoshop using my laptop. My life is boring. I need challenges. So I figured it would be interesting (maybe even impossible) to restore ankles and shoes for Uncle Joe and Uncle Burl. How to do that without it looking fake?

Well, Mom had a similar snapshot with Grandpa in the photograph. It was close enough to for me to 'steal' the feet off one picture and transfer them to this picture!! It was so EXCITING!

Love your shoes, Mom! hahaha...You probably weren't wearing pink socks although how would I know? Maybe you were! Since there aren't a lot of colors I can use to 'colorize' vintage photographs, you ended up in pink and Burl in blue. HE IS SO CUTE!
