Happy Birthday, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy!

Taken it easy now, eh?

A  snapshot taken after the family reunion in Logan, Utah

The Best front porch in the entire world...and it's as long as we remembered it was when we were kids! This picture was also taken after the reunion when the people living in Grandma Z's house were kind enough to give us a tour. They say you can never go back which is definitely true since the house has been extensively remodeled on the inside. The rose garden is gone. The chickens are gone. Still, it's a marvel the house remains and is well taken care of by people who obviously love it as much as the rest of us.

Last but not least...Duffin Corn! I can't quite remember why were were eating dinner at Kathy and Dave's but there are enough photos on my camera to prove we were there for some reason. Anybody remember what this feast was all about?

Happy Birthday, Dad. One thing about you that's always been consistent from your boogie woogie days forward: you're fun. Always fun. Even work is fun, toiling beside the King of Corn.

And my birthday gift to you is a vintage surprise from 1933! I hope you love it!

Love,
Carolyn
