Eighty-one and Beautiful

Yes. This is your front yard. Maybe you're having a hard time keeping your garden perfectly clipped, trimmed, weeded, fertilized and groomed, but anyone looking at this picture would be hard-pressed to criticize (or keep up with you!).

Speaking of working in the front yard, we are thinking about driving up the canyon this weekend, to collect a few rocks for the front rose bed. Michael and I went to a landscape store to buy a few mini-boulders and it cost nearly fifty dollars for five rocks----the kinds we used to pick off beet fields. Oh man...it about killed me to use my Visa so we only purchased the bare minimum. Just enough to stop the erosion in the very worst places.

One sweet woman told us at a nursery that every spring, people can get rock hunting permits from the BLM because broken rocks had slid down the mountainside during winter, even laying on the sides of roads. Guess we'll get a permit tomorrow. Michael said we should hurry up if we're gonna go rock hunting because when the BLM is no longer issuing permits, the rocks will scurry back up the mountainside and we'll be out-of-luck. hahaha

We had a wonderful time at home last weekend and look forward to our next visit!
