Jane Austen's "Fight Club"

I'm sure some of you have never seen Fight Club, a disturbing movie to be sure. It's rated "R" so that's how come i figure you haven't seen it. It's good though...a valuable commentary on American culture and male identity.

Even if you haven't seen Fight Club however, you'll still get the GIST of this video on YouTube. I nearly fell off my chair laughing because it reminded me of those sweet little innocent cherubs sitting on church pews with me. We may look all demure and weak but believe you me, women know how to throw a punch and serve cookies at the same time.

I saw this video a few weeks ago and shared it with the people who were dumb enough to talk to me when I'm sitting at my computer. They kinda get sick of me saying, "YOU have JUST got to SEE this VIDEO!!" and then they pretend they're really super busy or maybe they are temporarily blind and need to rest for awhile in their room.

Today, I was posting this video on my 'narcissism' forum because yea, it's a good example of how people pretend to be something they aren't which IS the essence of narcissism. I needed to add a few comments or links about this video to flesh out the story and guess what I found out after googling a few minutes?

You won't believe it.

This video was created by a Emily Janice Card, daughter of Mormon author Orson Scott Card.

I found this quote on a website talking about the amazing popularity of this YouTube clip:

"This hilarious spoof was the grand prize winner of a Santa Monica-based film festival. The sponsor? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That's right. To the list of winner Emily Janice Card's influences, just below the societal reflections of a 19th century novelist, Quentin Tarantino's adrenaline-infused Kill Bill soundtrack and the depraved sensibilities of David Fincher's classic film, you can add the Mormon church.

"Card, who plays Fannie in the film is part of a group of young Mormon singles who put together spoof videos, play tag football and dine together according to her Facebook page." Link to quote

This is a trailer for the original movie, Fight Club. It is approved for 'all audiences' so don't worry about an R rating.
